Testing Websites with IE6

Recently I upgraded my laptop to Windows 7RC taking away my only IE6 browser for checking the web design in IE6. I was left with a dilemma of how to test web design in IE6.

I have two options for this web design dilemma. The first was to take advantage of Windows 7 XP virtual mode. Since my Windows 7 was a RC, and not the final release this was not an option for me. The second option, IETester I found via Google.

IETester file was only 24Mb, and real easy to install. Just open the exe file and IETester takes care of the rest.

IETester supports IE version 5.5, 6, 7, and 8. IETester also supports using DeBugBar an advance web developer tool for IE. If you are a web designer or developer, I highly recommend downloading those tools from DebugBar.

DebugBar website can be found here.
